• In the West, men have been conditioned to hide their sexual nature, and in many cases, male sexuality has been criminalized such as in schools and in the workplace (see donglegate). Male expression of sexual desire is considered rude/sexist/misogynistic and most men in the West will apologize for even the accidental appearance of sexual interest. Presenting a sexual frame accomplishes many things:
   - Sets you apart from the other men who are afraid to express their sexual desire.
   - Shows that you have the confidence to show your sexual interest, and women love confidence.
   - As OP mentioned, it saves time by either escalating quickly or turning the woman off right away. As they say in the startup world, "Fail fast, fail often."
  - My personal theory: it is good for your mental health. The more your actions are in alignment with your true self, the better you will feel about yourself.

• 1) Sometimes you have to make stuff happen through pure force and willpower. Part of being a man is making something, out of nothing.
  2) Sometimes you can just accept and appreciate what's already here, and just kind of steer it a little. But you steer it from a place of relaxation and alrightness.
  3) And sometimes you have to make a fucking commitment to not give a shit, no matter what happens here. You actively decide not to care, you'll accept the consequences and deal with whatever happens.
  Those are three different aspects of how to relate to your energy as a man.

• The thing is that "Alpha" and "Beta" are just degrees of different behaviours, but can roughly be separated into Alpha = selfish and Beta = selfless. Since relationships are all give-and-take affairs, you need to have more "beta" in them to make them work than for, say, a one night stand.

  "Beta" in this context is not a bad thing, because it helps you to keep the relationship going. It's absolute thinking like "Beta is always the worst option" that is why the newer members think marriage can never work. Sure, it often doesn't, but it can, and to make it work, you're going to have to soften up a little.
